Éléonore St-Laurent is a lawyer of conviction, fiercely independent and never short of arguments. Jacob Gravel-Duquette is an investigative journalist who follows his instincts, no matter where they take him. Each in their own way, sometimes joining forces, they denounce the shortcomings of the system and accompany individuals revolted by its slowness and rigidity. Éléonore and Jacob fight institutional absurdities to help desperate citizens obtain a semblance of justice. The two idealists are often faced with moral dilemmas: how far are they willing to go to make things happen?
