For yet another year, Videotron Business Solutions has partnered with Startupfest, an event taking place between July 13 and 16 in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port. Come and network, discover new startups and meet with investors. It’s a unique opportunity to listen to talks by entrepreneurs from around the world and the ideal place to develop your business.

To mark the event and in collaboration with MAtv, Videotron Business Solutions is delighted to present the 30-second Pitch contest, the main goal of which is to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. The startup with the best sales pitch will receive a prize valued at $30,000, which includes media visibility and free office space at Notman House for three months.

What not to miss at Startupfest

1. Inspiring speakers

Over 91 speakers will take the stage to talk about their success and share their experience. Among them, we recommend Tobias Lütke, founder and CEO of Shopify; Alexis Ohanian, cofounder of the very popular community site Reddit; Tim O’Reilly, founder of O’Reilly Media, author and speaker; and Kara Swisher, editor-in-chief of Re/code. Each of them is committed to technological innovation and will certainly be inspiring.

2. Networking in the village

For startup business leaders, the Startupfest village is the place for meeting other entrepreneurs, seeking valuable advice and entering contests. Everything is organized to support business growth and give entrepreneurs a real boost.

3. Meetings with investors or future partners

In addition to bringing startups together, Startupfest attracts investors and well-established businesses. For example, Dave McClure, a well-known entrepreneur and investor at the head of Silicon Valley’s 500 Startups accelerator, will be on site to chat with startups looking for advice. It’s the ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs to expand their network, meet potential partners and form strategic alliances.

In short, if you’re passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, and you like festive atmospheres, you won’t want to miss this event that brings together entrepreneurs, investors and the public. It’s a dream opportunity to promote tomorrow’s talent within a dynamic and productive Montreal economy.
