For a second year in a row, Videotron Business Solutions is very proud to sponsor C2-MTL, which takes place in Montreal from May 21 to 23.This major event can best be described as a “different” business and networking conference, happily blending commerce and creativity (the two “C”s squared). Everything was reframed for this “experience”, starting from the location: far from conventional congress centers, in an industrial “village” near the downtown core, revitalized for the occasion.
Participants will be able to hear conferences from such distinguished speakers as British billionaire and adventurer Sir Richard Branson, world-renowned French designer Philippe Stark, Arkadi Kuhlmann, who founded ING Direct, and Chris Bangle, the former head of design at BMW.As part of a technology component, we can also note the presence of Neri Oxman, architect and designer at the MIT Media Lab, Barry Diller, senior executive for the Expedia travel website, Sanjay Poonen, head of Technology at SAP, and Steve Brown, the chief evangelist at Intel. An interesting fashion/beauty component is additionally featured, with conferences from Bobbi Brown, founder of the eponymous cosmetics company, and Elle Macpherson, former supermodel turned businesswoman and TV producer.Videotron Business Solutions will actively take part in this prestigious component, since we are presenting one of the most awaited conferences: the one from iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. Belgian-born Ms. von Furstenberg will talk with Daniel Lamarre, the CEO of the Cirque du Soleil, under the theme The Journey to Reinvention.
Diane von Furstenberg was one the most important designer of the ’70, mostly because she invented the now famous printed wrap dress, which flatters just about every silhouette, seamlessly blending everyday comfort and high fashion. Back then, she sold over a million of these dresses in a span a two years. She then took a break from fashion, only to return triumphantly in 1997. Last year, Forbes named her “the most powerful woman in fashion.”
Creative workshops, a unique experience
On top of all these conferences and many more, participants will have the opportunity to take part in numerous collaborative workshops, grouped under three main categories: Meet the Speakers, The Creative Process Experiment, and Round Tables and Micro Think Tanks. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to see interactive exhibitions, and to mingle during spectacular soirées.
Last year for its first edition, C2-MTL welcomed 1,250 attendees from 34 countries and over 30 industries. 85% of them were top executives and senior managers.Technology and telecommunications during the event will be powered by Videotron Business Solutions. Let’s celebrate the creativity of the local business community!
