Changing my Helix channels (TV and app)
Through My Account
- In My Account, select the Services and Equipment tab and then click Change channels in the TV plan tile.
- Use the Search channel option to find the desired channels.
- Check or uncheck Popular and Sports channels to change your selection.
- A summary is displayed at the bottom of the page.
- If you go over your plan’s limit, we will suggest that you add either individual channels or a block of channels.
- Add or remove Premium and specialty channels, if desired.
- The cost of a channel, if applicable, is indicated next to its name.
- Click Continue at the bottom right.
- Review the Order summary and click Proceed to checkout.
Sports fans
Only the Sports option plans allow you to add Sports channels. Don’t have this option? Learn how to change your plan.
Changing my illico TV channels
Through the Customer Centre
- In the Customer Centre, go to the Television menu and click Change your choice of custom package channels.
- Change your plan size as needed.
- Open the Premium, Sports and Popular tabs to check or uncheck channels.
- A summary is displayed to the right of the page.
- A $ icon indicates if there are additional costs associated with a channel.
- Click on Validate.
- Confirm your order.
From your TV
- Press the Menu button on your remote.
- Select Change your channels from the Live TV drop-down menu.
- Enter your administrator PIN.
- Forgot your administrator PIN? Contact our Technical Support.
- Select one of the following options and press the OK/Select button:
- Package channels — change the channels selected in your plan
- À la carte channels — add or remove à-la-carte channels
- TV plan — change your TV plan
- Once the channels or plans are selected, select Validate, then Confirm.
Instant subscription from the Program Guide
You can subscribe to some channels directly from the Program Guide. When possible, the icon appears to the left of the channel number. Select the channel to view the subscription terms and follow the prompts on the screen to add it.
Need additional or specialty channels?
It may be more advantageous for you to change your plan than to add these channels individually. Check out the Helix TV plans or illico TV plans available.
Frequently asked questions about changing channels
illico: The new channels will be activated quickly, within minutes of the changes.
Helix: The new channels are activated within two hours of the changes.
There is no charge for changing the channels per se. However, if you select additional channels or specialty channels that are not included in your plan, your monthly payment may change.
The cost of a channel not included in your plan appears on its tile and in the order summary. If your monthly payment changes, the adjustments will appear on your next invoice.
Yes. However, according to the CRTC, when you add a new channel, you must keep it for at least 30 days.
Helix exception: During the first month of your subscription to Helix TV or Helix TV App, you can change your channels without restriction.
To access a channel that has ended its unscrambling period, you must subscribe to it.
To continue enjoying the channel, add it to your plan by changing your selection of Helix channels or illico TV channels.
If a channel in your selections is no longer offered by Videotron, you can easily replace it with another channel of your choice.

In My Account, remove the channel to be withdrawn before selecting another one: use the search channel option to find it quickly, then uncheck it.
illico TV
In the Customer Centre, remove the channel to be withdrawn before selecting another one: find it quickly under the Popular tab of the Change your channels section, then uncheck it.
