How to: Changing and adding channels
Changing the channels in your plan
- Log in to My Account and select the Services & equipment section (on mobile, tap the My Account tab at the top of the page to display the sections).
- Under Helix Services and Manage your TV, click on the Choose your channels link.
- Choose the channels you want, respecting the number of channels and Premium channels included in your plan, using the counters at the bottom left of the screen.
- Once you have made your choices, click on the Continue button at the bottom right to confirm your selection.
- Check your Order summary. The changes you make may affect your monthly invoice total. Click Proceed to checkout.
Warning: When you add a new channel, you must keep it for at least 30 days.
Add more channels to your plan
À la carte channels
You can add one or more “à la carte” channels in addition to your plan.
- Log in to My Account and select the Services & equipment section (on mobile, tap the My Account tab at the top of the page to display the sections).
- Under Helix Services and Manage your TV, click on the Choose your channels link.
- If you want to add a regular channel, click on its icon. It will bring up a window showing you your options. Click Add to add this channel to your plan for the additional amount per month indicated.
- If you want to add a specialty or premium channel or group of channels to your plan, select its icon from the list. The additional monthly fee is indicated next to the channels and is added to your monthly payment.
- Once you have made your choices, click on the Continue button at the bottom right to confirm your selection.
- Check your Order Summary to see the change in your monthly invoice total. Click Proceed to checkout.
Warning: Sports channels are only available with specific plans, namely TV 10 choices (Sports option), TV 15 choices (Sports option), TV 25 choices (Sports option) and TV App 10 choices (Sports option). If you want to choose sports channels, but don’t subscribe to one of these packages, you have to first change your plan online using My Account. Then you’ll be able to change your channels.
Block of additional channels
You can add channel blocks (5, 10 or 20 channels) to increase the number of channels to choose from.
- Log in to My Account and select the Services & equipment section (on mobile, tap the My Account tab at the top of the page to display the sections).
- Under Helix Services and Manage your TV, click on the Choose your channels link.
- Click on a channel you wish to add to bring up the window indicating “You have exceeded the number of channels included in your package. Several options are available to you”.
- Select the block of additional channels you want: 5, 10 or 20 channels. The counter at the bottom left will adjust according to the block you have chosen.
- Continue selecting channels until you reach your new total of channels included in your plan.
- Click on the Continue button at the bottom right to confirm your selection.
- Check your Order Summary to see the change in your monthly invoice total. Click Proceed to checkout.
Tips to make your selection easier
- Search for channels by name or number using the search field above the channels.
- Find channels faster by using the Category and Language filters in the Search channel section.
- At any time while selecting or changing your channels, click See my channels (top left) or View my selection (bottom right) to preview your channel selection.
FAQ about changing channels on Helix TV
If a channel of your selection is no longer offered by Videotron, you can easily replace it with another channel of your choice by following the same steps as for a channel change.
When a channel ends its unscrambling period and you did not previously subscribe to it, you lose access.

The new channels will be activated quickly, within minutes of your changes.
You can change your channels more than once a month. However, according to the CRTC, when you add a new channel, you are required to keep it for at least 30 days.
Exception: During your first month of subscription to Helix TV, you can change your channels without any restriction.
There is no charge for changing the channels that are included in your plan. Only adding à la carte channels, such as a Premium channel, results in additional charges, which are determined by the channel that is added.
