Helix TV lets you see the results of games in progress, view the schedule of upcoming games, and access a ton of sports information live while you watch different content on TV. No more waiting for the end of a broadcast to know whether your favourite team is winning or losing an important game!
Sports app
The Sports app displays past, in progress, and future sports content on the right side of your TV, categorized by league or sport.
Access the app in a flash
Say the voice command “Sports App” or press the 
button on your remote.
Use the 
and 
arrows to change the selected display filter at the top of the section.
- Watch Now: Lists games in progress on your English channels
- My list: Lists games of the teams added to your favourites
- Leagues and sports: Lists games by league and sport, in order of popularity. Check the results of completed games and the schedule of upcoming games
- Settings: You can choose your favourite teams and set up game reminders.
Games in progress appear by default. Scroll up using the 
arrow to check results of completed games. Scroll down using the 
arrow to check upcoming games.
Add sports teams to the favourites of My list
Access all your favourite teams’ data more quickly by adding them to your favourites under My list.
Everything is easier with voice command!
Say “Calendar” followed by the team name, e.g., “Calendar Canadiens” and select the + tile.
To add a team to your favourites list without using the voice command:
- In the Sports app, find a game involving the team you want to add and press the
middle button. - Tap +Add to your list.
- Select the team (or both teams) to be added, then tap Done.
Reminders and recordings
Want to schedule reminders or recordings for every game a given team plays? It’s easy with Helix TV!
Everything is easier with voice command!
Say “Calendar,” followed by the team’s name, e.g., “Calendar Canadiens,” and select Record or Reminder.
To schedule reminders or recordings of a team’s games without using voice command:
- Add the team to your favourites.
- Access the Sports app.
- Go to Settings using the arrow and confirm with the centre key.
- Select My Teams and then select the team for which you want to schedule reminders or recordings.
- Change the options as needed and select Confirm.

arrow. - To see the full National Football League game schedule: Say “NFL” or, in the Sports app, go to the NFL screen using the arrow.

FAQ about using Sports app
Our data provider for the Sports app covers the most popular sports leagues in North America such as NHL, NFL, NBA, etc. Some data may not yet be processed.
No. The Sports app is only linked to Helix TV channels. However, you can watch sports content on YouTube TV and Netflix when you subscribe to these applications.
This information has been removed from the Sports app as part of an evolution of the app to offer integration of a wider variety of sports, leagues and teams.
All games are displayed in the Sports app, but you may not be able to view certain games. If the reminder and record options are not displayed, it means that the game is not broadcast on the channels offered with Helix TV.
