Your Helix Fi gateway

The Helix Fi gateway is an all-in-one product that combines the functions of a modem and a router. It allows you to connect all your wireless devices to the Wi-Fi network at home.

Front view

  1. WPS button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
    Enables to easily and securely connect devices to your protected Wi-Fi network without having to manually enter your network’s name and password.
  2. Status LED
    Indicator light that shows the gateway’s status. For more details on its colours, refer to the chart below.

  1. Telephone cord inputs (2) 
    Enable you to connect two telephones using a telephone cord (these inputs are not used for Videotron’s Home Phone service, which currently uses another technology). 

  2. Ethernet ports (2) 
    Enable you to physically connect a device to the Internet, off the Wi-Fi network, using an Ethernet cable.  

  3. Coaxial cable input
    Enables you to connect the gateway to a coaxial outlet.
  4. Power supply input
    Enables you to connect the gateway to a power outlet that isn’t connected to a dimmer or switch.
  5. Gateway restart button

    Wi-Fi network’s default name.

    Default password to connect to your Wi-Fi network for the first time.

    The device’s personal WPS identification number.

    Device’s serial number.

    Gateway’s MAC address.
  6. MTA MAC
    MAC address for telephone services.
