Connecting my router
ZyXel EMG2926 Router
To connect your router, follow these steps in order:
- Plug the power cord into the router’s DC IN port and the electrical plug into the wall outlet.
- Insert the network cable into the router’s blue WAN port and plug the other end into the modem’s Internet port.
- For a wired Internet connection, using an Ethernet cable, connect your router to your computer from one of the yellow Ethernet (LAN) ports.
- Press the power button, located at the back of your router, to turn it on. Verify that the LED lights turn on.
Warning: If your modem was connected to other equipment before, you must reset it. To do so, unplug the modem’s power cord, wait five seconds, and plug it back in. It may take several minutes for it to reset. If the Internet still does not work, insert a pointed object into the modem’s “Reset” hole and press down. Wait a few minutes and try logging in again.
