Choosing a better Business Customer Centre password
Choosing a strong, hard-to-guess password is a great way to protect your account. When you create a new password, our systems will automatically check if it meets our security criteria. Your password must be between 6 and 16 characters long and contain at least one letter and one number. Avoid using the following special characters, which are not accepted: [Space] , = + < > # @
You must never reuse an old password or a password associated with another account. Avoid using passwords that are easy to guess, such as your name or that of your loved ones, your date of birth or your address.
Use your browser’s “Remember Me” feature to avoid having to enter your username and password every time you log in. Your browser will save your information.
Warning :If you are using a shared computer to log in to your Business Customer Centre, do not use this feature. Use a password manager instead.
Create a password that is both complex and easy to remember, by inventing a sentence and forming your password using the first letter of each word. Example: "Mary eats spaghetti three times a week" will become "mes3taw."
How often does the Business Customer Centre password need to be changed?
It is best to only keep a password for a short time. Videotron recommends that you change your password in the following situations:
- When you receive a temporary password after a password recovery procedure.
- When you fear that your Videotron account or any other account has been hacked.
- At regular intervals, for example, every three months.
