Clearing a mobile app’s cache
What’s a cache?
A cache is a memory where temporary information is stored when visiting a website or application. It speeds up display loading on subsequent visits, thus improving the user experience.
However, the cache occasionally stores data that conflicts with new information generated by a site or app. The cache then needs to be cleared to resolve the issue.
Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Apps.
- Select the app whose cache you want to clear.
- Go to the Storage tab.
- Tap Clear cache.

- Go to the General tap.
- Tap iPhone storage or iPad storage.
- Select the app whose cache you want to clear.
- Tap Offload App.
- Tap Reinstall App.
