A series of sordid murders shakes the Québec City region. Gabrielle, a rebellious young investigator newly settled in Lévis, must team up with Clémence, a hardened agent on the verge of retirement, to solve the murders. First called in to investigate the death of a teenager found hanged, Gabrielle and Clémence quickly realize that what appeared to be a suicide was in fact a blood-curdling murder. A number is engraved on the young man's body, and a crow's bone is found in the back of his throat. Just as the two women begin to identify potential suspects, a second body is found, also bearing the marks of violence and a crow's bone stuck in his throat.
