The series La nuit où Laurier Gaudreault s’est réveillé, produced in 2022, is an adaptation of the play of the same name by Michel Marc Bouchard.

In the early ’90s, Mireille, her brother Julien and their best friend Laurier formed an inseparable trio. The boys have just won the provincial baseball championship and dream of one day leaving their village for the United States. One night in October 1991 disrupts their plans and destroys their hopes forever. Mireille, a few years later, leaves the family, swearing never to return. Thirty years later, when she has become a thanatologist, Mireille returns to her family to embalm her mother at her request, reuniting with her brothers, whom she has not seen for decades. Soon, secrets and resentment resurface, intertwining with mourning and an unstoppable pursuit of truth and reconciliation.
