Frequently asked questions about TV App plans
All our TV App plans include one Helix Fi gateway, the Helix TV app, up to 26 Basic channels, 1 Premium channel and a number of channels of your choice, depending on the plan you choose.
Once you’ve subscribed to one of our TV App plans, simply download the Helix TV app to your mobile devices, then log in with your Helix ID and password.
Download the Helix TV app on Google Play or the App Store.
You can also access the app on your computer through the Helix Web platform.
Using Chromecast or AirPlay technology on your smartphone, tablet or laptop, using an Amazon Fire or Apple TV device, or compatible Samsung and LG TVs, you can stream your content to a big screen, on a TV at home, at your friend’s house or elsewhere.
All types of content included in your TV App plan can be streamed: live broadcasts, On Demand content, recordings, etc.
Cloud recording of your shows is available as a paid option with a TV App plan. Three recording capacities are available: 100 hours, 200 hours, and unlimited. This addition to your plan can be done directly in My Account.
When you’re connected to your Wi-Fi network at home
Helix Internet accesses are unlimited, so data consumed by the Helix TV app has no impact on your billing.
When you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network other than yours or to a mobile network
Data is used up by the Helix TV app, as well as if you use a website or another app to view entertainment content such as Netflix or YouTube. Your usage may therefore result in data charges.
Every TV App plan includes a Premium channel, either illico+, Super Channel, or Superstations.

Videotron’s network
Videotron’s network combines fibre optics and coaxial cables. Available where access or technology permits. Certain conditions apply.
Helix TV app content
Available on selected channels. Viewing content requires an Internet network connection and consumes data. Streaming of content, be it live, recorded, or on demand, is limited to Canada only. However, it is possible to stream content abroad that has previously been downloaded in Canada. Fees apply for movie rentals and for viewing pay-per-view content. The rental period for adult movies may vary according to the type of content selected.
Use outside the home
Only Helix GO content is available. Content viewed must be on a channel included in the customer’s plan. Some live content may not be available outside Québec.
Casting and streaming with the Helix TV app

Downloading content requires a Wi-Fi network connection and uses up data. Available on selected content. Up to 15 downloads per device. Up to 5 devices per account may download content. Downloaded content is only accessible for 30 days.

Delivery
Packages are usually received within 48 working hours in urban areas and 72 working hours in rural areas following the order. Additional delays may occur during holiday periods.
