Les Perles

Stéphanie lives an ordinary life with her daughters, her Pearls, Laurence, 16, and Juliette, 9, in an Haute-Côte-Nord village. Returning from a yoga retreat, she is surprised to be greeted by her extended network, who have come to cheer her up. What they do not know is that this so-called retreat was in fact a getaway trip down South with her lover. Her best friend Cynthia, who was complicit in this lie, thought it would be a good idea to reinforce its credibility by telling anyone who would listen that Stéphanie is depressed. The truth eventually comes out, but gossip becomes the least of Stéphanie’s worries when Laurence makes an unexpected announcement. Stéphanie sets out on a quest for a better life for herself and her family, one that will be fraught with pitfalls, but which will confirm to her that the love of her Pearls will always be stronger than anything else.
