Self-installation with good support
We have put in place several support methods to ensure that your self-installation of Helix equipment goes perfectly well:
- The Helix Fi app gives you live instructions during self-installation
- Video tutorials show you exactly what to do
- Detailed online instructions let you follow each step
- Instruction guides are available in PDF or paper version
- Technical support is present at all times to answer your questions
No need to be a technology expert to self-install your equipment! Allow 20 to 30 minutes for Helix Internet service and 45 to 60 minutes for Helix Internet and TV services.
Self-installation procedure
- Choose your Helix plan online or with a representative in store or over the phone.
- Your Helix equipment is delivered to your home or given to you when purchased in-store.*
- Follow our detailed instructions for a simple and easy installation of your equipment: personalized support in My Account and video tutorials.
Note that a free connection appointment may be necessary if your home has never been connected to the Videotron network or if the connection is too old and requires an internal and external check of the wiring.
Who can benefit from self-installation?
Self-installation is offered to all eligible customers, whether you are a new customer, a Videotron customer who transfers its current services to Helix services or a Helix customer who moves.
If you are not eligible for self-installation, you will be offered an appointment for an installation by a technician.
You don’t want to install your Helix equipment yourself?
Choose the installation by a Videotron’s technician who will take care of everything for you. Note that a fee2 will be added to your invoice with this option.

The customer will be charged installation fees of up to $99 if Helix services are installed by a technician.
