How to access the Prime Video app
To launch the Prime Video app on your TV, you can:
- Use the voice command and say “Prime Video”
- Press the HELIX button on your remote and select Prime Video from the App section in the menu, under Entertainment
The Prime Video home screen will open with a “You’re entering a third-party app” notification to let you know that this is not a Videotron product.

How to sign in to Prime Video
The Prime Video app has a Guest mode, allowing non-subscribers to browse the content catalogue. Launch Prime Video and select Browse Videos on-screen.
The first time you use the app on Helix TV, you must sign in to start Prime Video.
- Launch the Prime Video app.
- On the screen that appears, select Sign in.
- Scan the QR code on the screen with your mobile device.
- Once you are logged in, the Prime Video profiles screen will automatically appear on your TV.
You can also sign in on the web using a computer or mobile device.
- Go to PrimeVideo.com/mytv.
- Log in or create an account.
- Enter the code that appears on your TV screen.
- Once you are logged in, the Prime Video profiles screen will automatically be displayed on your TV.

How to create and manage Prime Video profiles
You can have up to six Prime Video user profiles. Each profile has individual recommendations, season progress, and a Watchlist based on each user’s activity.
- Launch the Prime Video app.
- From the Prime Video app menu at the top of the screen, select the profile icon.
- To create a new profile, select New, then enter a name and choose a profile picture.
- To edit an existing profile, select the profile you want to edit, then select Edit below it. You can then change the profile name and picture.
Good to know
In the Kids profile, only age-appropriate movies and series (12 and under) are visible; search results and suggestions are filtered by age, and purchases are disabled.
However, all downloads, including those from an adult’s profile, will still be available and can be accessed through the Kids profiles.
How to search for Prime Video content
With the voice command
You can search for specific content by naming the title in question, followed by the app. For example, “The Wheel of Time on Prime Video.”
You can also do a general search by genre, actor, director, or other. Prime Video content related to your query will appear in the search results.
From the Prime Video app
In the Prime Video app menu at the top of the screen, you can search for specific content using the magnifying glass icon. Depending on the specificity of the keywords entered, several search results and various content that best match your query will appear.
To find Prime Video content to watch, you can also select Categories from the menu at the top of the screen to browse Prime Video suggestions and apply the Series, Movies, Amazon Originals, or Kids filters to narrow your search.
How to manage your Watchlist on Prime Video
To create your list of favourite content:
- Select the content you want to add to your list.
- On the content page, select + Add to Watchlist.
To access your Watchlist:
- From the Prime Video app menu at the top of the screen, select My Stuff.
- Your favourite content is sorted according to their respective category.
Returning to Helix TV from Prime Video
To leave the Prime Video app, you can:
- Press Exit on your remote to return to the TV
- Press Guide or HELIX on your remote to return to the Guide

- Launch the Prime Video app.
- From the Prime Video app menu at the top of the screen, select
(Settings). - Select Language, then choose your desired language.
This language will be used for the user interface and, if available, for the audio and subtitles of the videos.
You can also change a content language while viewing. Press the centre button on the remote to bring up the menu at the bottom of the screen and select Audio and Languages.
When viewing content, press the centre button on the remote control to bring up the menu at the bottom of the screen and select Subtitles to enable subtitles.
- Launch the Prime Video app.
- From the Prime Video app menu at the top of the screen, select (Settings).
- Select Parental Controls and follow the on-screen instructions to create and enable your Prime Video PIN and set up viewing restrictions.
