Using parental controls
With the YouTube app, you can set the parental controls to prevent your children from watching inappropriate content. One of the easiest options is to block access based on categories.
From the main menu, go to Settings > Parental Controls > TV Rating Locks. You can choose the categories that you want to block, like adult content or content rated 14+. You can also completely block YouTube with the app blocking function.
Otherwise, you can simply turn on the restricted mode, which hides videos that could have content judged inappropriate by YouTube. From the main menu, go to Settings and set the restricted mode to "ON.” Note that you do not need a PIN to turn the restricted mode on or off.
In addition, there's always a possibility of inappropriate videos being online for a short time before being removed, despite YouTube's constant, rigorous monitoring.
