illico+ with a Helix TV plan
Are you a Helix TV subscriber? Access illico+ on your TV, from the Helix TV app, or on the Web.
On a TV connected to the Helix TV terminal
Using the voice remote, say “illico+”.
You can also access it from the menu:
- Tap the HELIX button.
- Go to the Apps section and select illico+.
From the Helix TV app
Launch the Helix TV app or log in to the Helix TV app platform on the Web. In the Browse section, select illico+.

- Click Sign in.
- Enter your Customer Centre login information.
With Apple TV, Google TV, or Fire TV
- Download the illico+ app from the app store on your broadcast device.

- Enter your email address and password, then tap Sign in.

This subscription option lets you watch content on a maximum of two devices at the same time.
- Sign into the illico+ Web platform.
- From the top right menu, select Account, then Unsubscribe.

Yes. If you’re not connected to a Wi-Fi network, the illico+ and Helix TV apps use mobile data. For reference, watching or downloading a one-hour program uses about 1.8 GB of data.
Yes. Under the More tab in the bottom right corner of the screen, select Settings. Disable the Use Mobile Data and Download with Mobile Data buttons by toggling them from yellow to grey.
It depends on your subscription option.
- Helix TV or TV App plans: You can watch on up to five devices simultaneously.
- illico TV or All-Inclusive Mobile plans: You can only watch on one device at a time.
- Club illico without a TV or Mobile plan: You can watch on up to two devices at a time.
The video quality is automatically adjusted to ensure the best viewing experience based on your device’s performance and your Internet speed.
However, you can control your data usage by manually adjusting the video quality. Just tap the screen while a show is playing and tap on the gear icon that appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Set the playback quality to High, Medium, or Low. Your selection will be applied to your profile.
Viewing illico+ content with illico TV is done via cable, so it doesn’t require data usage. Watching with Helix TV is done over the Internet and uses data, but since Helix plans include unlimited usage, you don’t have to worry about that.
However, if you use a mobile device that’s not connected to a Wi-Fi network to stream content on a TV, it will use mobile data.
The selection of content depends on the broadcast rights we obtain from content providers. Our goal is always to carry all seasons of a series, but sometimes the broadcast rights expire or there’s a delay in getting more seasons.
Of course. If you aren’t subscribed to Helix TV or illico TV, you can subscribe directly to the illico+ application.
- Tap the More tab in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select Downloads.
- Select the pencil in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Tap the trash can to the right of the content you want to delete.
Only illico New Generation terminals (models from Cisco and Technicolor and 4K terminals) provide access to illico+. View terminal models.
If your terminal model is compatible and you don’t see illico+ on channel 900, contact Technical Support.
