Programming using the code list
This allows you to manually program a device according to the brand. To identify the codes for your device, see the list of codes.
- Turn on the device to be programmed.
- Hold down the SELECT button and one of the TV, VCR, DVD, or AUX buttons (depending on the device to be programmed) until it lights up in red.
- Point the remote control at the device, then enter the codes one at a time.
- When the device turns off, press POWER to test if it turns back on.
- If the device turns back on, press the TV, VCR, DVD, or AUX button, as appropriate, to lock in the code.
- If the device doesn’t turn back on, repeat steps 2 to 5 with the following code.
- When the device turns off and turns back on, programming is successful.
Setting up the volume control
This allows you to select the device whose volume will be controlled by the remote.
For better audio quality, change the Audio: Volume Ctrl option to Fixed in the terminal settings.
- Hold down the CBL and SELECT buttons until the CBL button lights up in red.
- Press the VOL+ button.
- Press TV, CBL (terminal), or AUX (audio system) depending on the device whose volume you want to control.
Other programming method in case of failure
This allows you to find a compatible programming code for your device from the list of codes in the remote control.
- Turn on the device to be programmed.
- Hold down the SELECT button and one of the TV, VCR, DVD, or AUX buttons (depending on the device to be programmed) until it lights up in red.
- Point the remote control at the device, then hold down the CH+ button until the device turns off. This operation may take several minutes as all codes are tested one by one.
- Release the CH+ button, then press POWER.
- If the device doesn’t turn back on, press and release the CH- button, to test previous codes.
- When the device turns back on, press the TV, VCR, DVD, or AUX button, as appropriate, to lock in the code.
- The button will flash twice to confirm programming.
