How to manage the favourites of My list
Quickly access channels, movies, shows, and celebrities marked as your favourites.
Adding a channel to your Favourites
- Press the Guide key on your remote.
- Browse the first column on the left using the
and 
arrows to find the channel you want to add to your favourites and press the middle button to select it. - Use the
arrow to select Favourites and confirm.
You can filter the Guide to display only your favourite channels.
Adding a show to My list
- Press the Guide key on your voice remote.
- Select the content you want to add to My list. Remember that you can add both direct TV shows and On Demand content.
- Select Series Info, then select + from the tabs to automatically add the content to My list.
To display your favourite shows, press the HELIX key, select Saved, then the My list tab.
Adding an actor, director, or celebrity to My list
- Say the name of the person you are looking for using the voice command or press HELIX and select the
. - Use the on-screen keypad to enter the name of the person you want to add to your Favourites.
- Select a name and press the middle button to confirm.
- The person’s information will appear on the screen. Select + to automatically add the person to My list.
You can also add someone from a movie’s or show’s cast and crew information screen to My list.
Once you’ve added someone to My list, you can more quickly browse the content in which they appear (e.g., movies with your favourite actress).
- Press HELIX and select Saved.
- Select the My list tab and press the middle button to confirm.
- Select the name of your choice and press the middle button to view their information.
Removing an item from My list
- Select the content to be deleted in the My list menu.
- Use the arrows to select Remove Favourite or the check icon, depending on the item.
- Press the middle button to confirm.
How to manage playlists with Helix TV
Group your content as you see fit and find it easily by adding On Demand content and recordings to a playlist.
Adding content to a playlist
- Press the HELIX button, and then from the Saved or On Demand sections, select the content you want to add to a playlist.
- Use the arrow and select the Playlist tab.
- Choose the playlist of your choice opposite to Add to or select Create New to start a new list.
- Select Confirm with the middle button.
Reading the content of a playlist
- Press the HELIX button and select Saved.
- Use the arrow and select Playlists.
- Choose a playlist.
- Select the content you wish to view.
- Confirm to start playback or press Info to display a navigation bar.
Removing content from a playlist
- From a Playlist, select the title concerned.
- Select the
button on your remote control. - Choose the options Remove, then Remove from Playlist.
You can also delete, organize or rename your playlists:
- Choose a playlist.
- Select
followed by the desired option. - Press the middle button to confirm.
How to manage For You content with Helix TV
The For You tab in the Saved section includes several subsections customized to your use, to be set up according to your needs. For example, you could find:
- Just Recorded
- Recently Watched

Warning: If you choose to delete content from the For You section, it will also be deleted from the Recordings section and your DVR.
