FAQ about Bring your own phone plans
BYOD stands for Bring your own device and BYOP for Bring your own phone, meaning that the customer uses a phone already in their possession when subscribing to a mobile plan with a provider.
If you choose an eligible Mobile plan and keep your current phone, you will automatically get a monthly discount on your invoice.
First, do not cancel your current contract, since only active phone numbers can be transferred to a new provider.
Then, make sure to follow, step by step, the porting procedure of your services to Videotron.
When you subscribe to your Videotron mobile plan, request a new phone number.
When you receive your Videotron SIM card and insert it into your device, it will activate automatically with your new number.
If you have a new phone number, insert the SIM card into your mobile device and it will activate automatically.

Conditions related to the Mobile plan: The customer who brings their own device receives a $5 monthly discount. The discount will be maintained as long as the customer keeps their device and the plan to which they are subscribed. The customer also receives a $15 monthly discount, upon subscription to a Canada–US 100 GB Mobile plan, when combined with an eligible Internet plan. The offer is conditional upon maintenance of the subscription to the Internet plan. This plan includes unlimited local and long-distance calls anywhere in Canada and to the US. Use of the plan (calls, text messages, and data) is possible in the United States for a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) days per year, calculated from the initial subscription date. If usage in the United States exceeds the one hundred and twenty (120) days per year, Videotron may charge overage fees or remove the privilege entirely. The Canada–US plan is not applicable on cruise ships and in areas that are not supported by a partner operator (offshore areas), and additional fees will be charged to the customer on a per-use basis. Canada-US 100 GB Mobile plan at $40/month

The offer entails the Canada–US 100 GB Mobile plan at $40 per month when combined with a subscription to an Internet plan, when the customer brings their own device. Conditions related to the Mobile plan: The customer obtains a monthly discount of $15 upon subscription to the Canada–US 100 GB Mobile plan when combined with an eligible Internet plan. The offer is conditional upon the customer remaining subscribed to said Internet plan. In addition, customers who bring their own device get a monthly discount of $5. Free activation fees
For a limited time, new Videotron Residential customers who subscribe online to a Mobile plan with a minimum monthly service rate of $40, and existing Residential customers who renew their Mobile plan subscription online, combined with the purchase of an eligible mobile device with the Videotron Simplified Payment option, will benefit from free Mobile activation fees. 5G et 5G+
5G and 5G+ technologies are accessible on compatible devices, where a connection to the 5G or 5G+ network is possible. 5G and 5G+ coverage, product features, and performance may vary and are subject to network availability and connectivity, as well as various factors such as the plan, the device used, and environmental conditions. Outside 5G and 5G+ areas, compatible devices will continue to have access to LTE speeds, according to the available coverage. Price for life
The “price for life” promise means that the base rate (before any discounts or credits) of your Residential Mobile plans will not increase during the course of the subscription. It applies to all Residential Mobile plans marketed by Videotron with the mention “price for life.” The promise applies only to the base rate of the Mobile plan, and not to other charges, such as add-ons, Mobile activation fees, 911 emergency service fees, federal, provincial, and municipal taxes, overage fees, roaming fees, and any other out-of-plans rates and additional fees. It is valid as long as the customer maintains their subscription to the Mobile plan, and is non-transferable.
Multiservice discount
This limited-time offer applies to Videotron Residential customers who subscribe and maintain their subscription to an eligible Mobile plan and Internet service. The offer entails a monthly discount of $10 per line upon subscription to a Mobile plan with a monthly service rate between $45 and $59 (before any discount or credit); $15 upon subscription to a Mobile plan with a monthly service rate between $60 and $79 (before any discount or credit); or $20 upon subscription to a Mobile plan with a minimum monthly service rate of $80 (before any discount or credit). It is possible that this offer cannot be combined with other special offers or additional monthly Data Add-ons. Certain conditions apply.
Multiline discount
Multiline discounts are conditional upon customer subscribing to at least two (2) Mobile plans. A monthly discount of $5 per Line with data applies to all eligible Lines with data associated with the account, for a maximum of seven (7) Lines. Delivery
