What is the Club illico app?
The Club illico app is available to everyone, whether they’re Videotron customers or not. Users get access to a host of original series, films, documentaries and youth programs in French that can be watched on mobile devices and browsers.
A subscription is required to use the Club illico app.
How to subscribe to the Club illico app
Anyone in Canada – Videotron customer or not – can go to illico.com to subscribe to the Club illico app. The monthly subscription fee will be charged to your credit card.
How to download the Club illico app
You can download the Club illico app from the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device’s operating system.
How to access the Club illico app content
- Open the app on your mobile device or go to clubillico.com on your computer.
- Enter your username and password to log in.
If you’re a Club illico or Helix Internet customer, your login information is the email address and password you used to subscribe to the Club illico app.
If you’re an illico TV or Club illico mobile customer, your login information is the same you use to access the Videotron Customer Centre.
How to search for content in the Club illico app
You can use the app’s search tool to look up specific shows or movies, or to search by genre, actor, director, etc.
On a mobile device
- Tap the magnifying glass in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Tap in the Search field to bring up the keyboard and enter your keywords.
On the Web
- Click on the Search field in the upper left corner of the screen and enter your search criteria.
How do I view Club illico app content?
Club illico content can only be viewed in Canada. The same account can be used to view content on up to two devices simultaneously, whether the content is streamed or downloaded.
- Click the content you want to watch.
- For a series, choose the episode you want to watch to play it. For a movie, press Watch to start watching.
When playing content on a mobile device, you may get interrupted by phone calls. If that happens, manually resume play. If the content gets interrupted because of a network change, it will automatically resume playing after a few seconds.
How to download Club illico app content
With the Download to go feature, you can download up to 15 shows or movies per mobile device and keep them for 30 days to watch offline at a later time, from anywhere.
- Select what you want to watch.
- To start the download, press the check mark to the right of the trailer button if it’s a movie and to the right of each episode if it’s a series.
Content can only be downloaded when you’re in Canada, and only on devices that use mobile data (mobiles and tablets) to watch offline content.
Viewing downloaded content
- Tap the More tab in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select Downloads.
- Tap the desired item in the list to start viewing.
Downloaded content can be played anywhere in the world.
Deleting downloaded content
- Tap the More tab in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Select Downloads.
- Select the pencil in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Tap the trash can to the right of the content you want to delete.
How to cast Club illico App content to a TV
You can cast content to your TV using Google Chromecast or Apple AirPlay.
From a mobile device
- Tap once on the screen while viewing content.

From the Web
- Log in to Club illico on your computer, click More
in the upper right corner of the menu and select Cast.
- Then select the TV you want to play the content on.
Good to know
You can also access Club illico content on your TV by adding the app to your Apple TV or by adding Club illico to your Helix TV or illico TV plan.
About Club illico mobile
Club illico mobile is a service that also provides access to the Club illico app’s original and exclusive productions, but it’s only available to customers who subscribe to one of Videotron’s All-inclusive Mobile plans.
With this version of the app, only one show can be played at a time and only on a mobile device (phone or tablet). It does not include the following features:
- Content download and viewing without using mobile data
- Option to cast to a television with Chromecast or AirPlay
- Access on a computer
- Access on Helix TV or Apple TV
- Favourites
- Next episode autoplay

Like all streaming apps, the Club illico app uses data when playing content, around 1.8 GB of data per hour of high-quality video streaming. Downloading videos uses a similar amount of data.
If you have limited data in your plan, you can manage data usage and video quality in the Club illico app.
You can set it up so that content can only be downloaded or played when you’re connected to Wi-Fi and not when you’re connected to a mobile network. Click the More tab at the bottom right of the screen and select Settings. You can then disable Use Mobile Data and Download with Mobile Data by toggling the buttons from yellow to grey.
The video quality is automatically adjusted to ensure the best viewing experience based on your device’s performance and your Internet speed.
However, you can control your data usage by manually adjusting the video quality. Just tap the screen while a show is playing and tap on the gear icon that appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Set the playback quality to High, Medium or Low. Your selection will be applied to your profile.
