How do I set up Call Forwarding on my mobile?
Using Call Forwarding is a good option if you want to temporarily forward your calls.
Enable Call Forwarding on your phone
To enable Call Forwarding, go to your phone’s menu and enter another phone number. When someone calls you, the call will be forwarded directly to the number you entered.
If the forwarding calls are not included in your Mobile plan, here is the regular rate:
$0.60/min
To add an option to your Mobile plan, consult all our mobile options.
Disabling Call Forwarding
If you change your mind, you can disable Call Forwarding by simply going back into your phone’s menu and following the steps in reverse.
Good to know
When Call Forwarding is enabled, you’ll still be able to make calls from your mobile, but you’ll no longer receive any.
What are my mobile’s Call Forwarding options?
There are several Call Forwarding options. You can have calls forwarded when:
- Your line is busy
- You haven’t answered after several rings
- Your line isn’t available
You can set a different forwarding number for each option.
Good to know
If you don’t answer a forwarded call, it won’t go to the original number’s voicemail, but will be processed by the phone service of the number it was forwarded to (e.g., if the call was transferred to your home phone, the unanswered call will go to your home phone’s voicemail).
Can you forward calls to numbers anywhere in the world?
You can forward calls from your mobile only to Canadian or US numbers. If you forward calls to a number outside your local calling area, the usual long-distance fees will apply when you answer at that number or if the caller leaves a voicemail.
If you are unsure if Call Forwarding has been enabled on your mobile, check in your device’s menu.
