My recordings do not appear in the list of episodes
Recordings may not appear in the episodes lists if they were scheduled in a language other than the one selected for your Helix TV interface.
In this case, you can still access your recordings by pressing the HELIX button on your voice remote to access the main menu and select Saved, then Recordings.
Some of my recordings are missing
Good to know
It is the channel’s responsibility to inform us as soon as the broadcast exceeds the scheduled time so that recordings can be automatically extended.
To avoid missing a portion of your recording, we suggest that you extend your recording manually when you program it. To do this, select the recording’s start and end times in the Start and Stop fields.
You can also add a buffer period at the end of the scheduled time for a previously scheduled recording.
- Access the scheduled recording via the Program Guide or the Saved section, under Recordings, and then Scheduled.
- Select Record Options and then Modify.
- Select Just this episode or All episodes, depending on what you want to modify.
- In the Stop field, enter the amount of time you want to extend the recording for.
- Select Confirm.
For regular content, you have the option to extend by 3, 5, or 30 minutes. For live content, you can extend by 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
I can’t find my scheduled recording
Make sure you scheduled your recording properly, especially if it’s a series with multiple episodes.
When you schedule the recording of an episode of a series, Helix TV asks if you want to record just this episode or all episodes in the series. Select All episodes if you want to record the entire series.
Make your choice between recording New episodes only or New and repeat episodes.
Even if you can program the recording of On Demand content or content from a third-party application (such as illico+ or Netflix), the content will not be recorded, as only linear content (broadcast traditionally via a TV channel) may be recorded.
I accidentally deleted a recording
When you delete a recording manually, you can restore it up to 24 hours after it was deleted.
From your list of recordings, select the Recently Deleted option and select the recording you want to restore.

Some of my recordings have disappeared
Your recordings have a lifespan of 365 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
If you reach your recording capacity while recording, the older recordings are deleted first.
I am almost at my recording limit
To ensure your content is recorded and to avoid unpleasant surprises, it’s important to carefully manage your recordings.
Browse your recordings and delete unwanted ones from your terminal or from the Helix TV app, on mobile or online.

If your recorded content is also available in On Demand format, we recommend deleting these recordings and watching them On Demand rather than overloading your storage space.
I can’t program a recording
If you are trying to record a show broadcast on a linear channel and the message “Recording is not available. You need to subscribe to the channel to record it” appears, it means that you are not subscribed to the channel in question or that you have been subscribed to it for less than two hours.
If you have just subscribed to the channel, wait two hours and try again.
